Corporate History
- January 18, 2000- South Seas Natural Resources Inc., founded in 1969 as a mining and exploration company, is restructured, renamed “PhilWeb.Com, Inc.”, and repurposed as an internet company, with Roberto V. Ongpin as chairman
- July 2, 2001- PhilWeb.Com signs a Memorandum of Agreement with, and buys a major interest in ISM Communications Corp. (formerly Itogon-Suyoc Mines, Inc.), changing the firm’s primary purpose from a company engaged in the business of mining to a company engaged in the business of telecommunications, multimedia and information technology
- November 5, 2002- PhilWeb.Com, Inc. officially changes its name to PhilWeb Corporation
- November 28, 2002- PhilWeb signs an agreement with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) for Internet Sports Betting
- May 2003- PAGCOR and PhilWeb launch the Internet Sports Betting System (ISBS) with the Basketball Jackpot game, sold from kiosks nationwide
- May 29, 2003- A stockholders’ resolution changes PhilWeb’s primary business to include gaming
- March 2004- PhilWeb signs an Internet Gaming agreement with PAGCOR and begins rollout of the PAGCOR e-Casino Filipino Internet Casino Station (ICS) system with 11 ICS opened by the end of 2004
- May 31, 2005- Eric O. Recto becomes president of PhilWeb, as well as president and director of ISM Communications Corp.
- May 2006- ePLDT, Inc., the information technology arm of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Group (PLDT), buys 26 percent of PhilWeb
- June 2006- In cooperation with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and PAGCOR, PhilWeb launches Premyo Sa Resibo to encourage consumers to use official receipts
- July 2006 - Dennis O. Valdes takes over as president of PhilWeb; Eric O. Recto is named Vice-Chairman
- February 2007-Board of Investments (BOI) grants PhilWeb "pioneer" status, allowing six years of tax incentives for importing software
- April 2007- PhilWeb reports net income of P116 million for 2006
- September 2007- PhilWeb launches the TXTINGO mobile game
- December 2007- PhilWeb opens its 32nd PAGCOR ICS for 2007, bringing the total number to 76 PAGCOR ICS nationwide
- February 2008- PAGCOR officially rebrands its land based Casino Filipinos to “PAGCOR”, and in line with this, rebrands all e-Casino Filipino Internet Casino Stations (ICS) to “PAGCOR e-Games Cafés”
- March 2008- Premyo Sa Resibo receives its 100 millionth raffle entry
- April 2008- PhilWeb doubles its revenues to a total of Php 266.9 million in 2007 from Php 132.9 million the previous year . Total Net Income for 2007 is Php 222.8 million, a 92% increase over Php 116 million of the previous year

- May 2009 - Management tells the Annual General Meeting of Stockholders that the company will achieve positive retained earnings in 2009 and that a dividend will be released later in the year. It also reports that the company has accumulated cash reserves of around P700 million.
- April 2009- PhilWeb posts P450M of revenue for 2008, a 69% increase over 2007’s P267 million.
- August 2009- A special stockholders’ meeting approves an increase in the par value of PhilWeb shares from one centavo to one peso per share, thus opening the gates for institutional investors to invest in the stock.
- Sept 2009- The Securities and Exchange Commission approves the application of PhilWeb Corporation to increase the par value of its shares from one centavo to one peso per share.
- November 2009- PhilWeb shares shoot up from about P5.50 at the beginning of the year to a high of P18.75. Market capitalization now stands at P22.7 billion. The 164th PAGCOR e-Games café opens. PhilWeb incorporates a wholly-owned subsidiary, PhilWeb International Gaming Corporation, capitalized at P1 billion, to expand its gaming business to countries outside the Philippines.
